Being at Coogah is a unique experience. A pristine secluded volcanic plateau at the headwaters of the valley, you could be mistaken for being on top of the world. Her beauty draws you in with an expansive vista of box trees and soft rolling farmland, with a complex geology that flourishes with abundant pastures, both colourful and diverse.
With a temperate climate of Summer dominant rainfall and mild to cool Winters and occasional snow, Coogah is a dynamic display of natural beauty through each season. She continues to surprise us, more than 10 years on.
There is so much to learn about Coogah's dynamic ecosystem. As nature's shepherds we continue to love and nurture our land and livestock naturally. We seek out the wisdom from these natural surrounds for how best to work with nature's energy, to enhance her wellbeing and the ecosystem that she supports.
We are now using biodynamics as part of our goal for a self perpetuating farm. The aim is for stronger, more balanced and diverse soils teeming with a symphony of biology. A soil full of vitality can support an even broader range of perennial and annual plants above the ground. And also improve the long term health of the soil life below the ground, along with soil carbon, which is healthier for the planet.
A healthy organically and biodynamically nurtured ecosystem allows the production of healthy food. And you have the opportunity to reap these nutritional benefits when you taste the meat from our Coogah™ shop.

As 3rd and 4th generation farmers, we have been caring for the land and nature’s ecosystem for some time. This great opportunity has allowed us to learn and grow, and change with the seasons as we strive to produce healthier food direct to you.
